Re: Update on Project?
Hi all As an interested bystander (with a few contacts still in post!) it is pleasing to see that the new money injected into Holloid is having an effect (net worth went from £17k(!!!) to £280k since christmas according to http://www.creditsafe.co.uk) with the security of further finance available...

Re: Chess in Schools
Good morning I see that Fergus is online at the moment. Assume that he is waiting for an annoucement from Saturday's board meeting like the rest of us. Peter Much as I'd like to help (I tried to secure the tooling!) I'm reduced to an interested bystander... I passionately believe there is both the ...

Re: No news is bad news
Hi again (twice in one day...and not to be repeated) Re: my new companies... PDC is a loose confederation of designers and engineers that I'm representing as an alleged business development maestro - although a start-up it sadly has a significantly higher credit score and rating with D&B, CreditSafe...

Re: No news is bad news
Hi The Forum. Disappointingly Holloid are going through a difficult period and this has affected the Chess for Schools project. There have been some fundamental problems with the board injection mould tools but the tools that produce the pieces have been production capable since June... Unfortunatel...

Re: Chess for schools website
All I've been following the various comments re: the website. It was set up as a pro bono gesture to suppport the project by Room 11 Design - using text and other info developed very much on the hoof. If there is some-one within ECF or the project who can take over the site I'd be delighted to pass ...

Production and Project Update Number 2
Hi again. Apologies for the perceived silence from the manufacturing arm of this program!!! I've spent a lot of time overseas on business and we're also neck-deep in new projects so I have neglected to keep this forum updated... We now have live production and material availability to produce 40 ton...

Production and project update
All This is just a brief post to let you know the production status of the chess sets... Those of you with a manufacturing background will hopefully appreciate that commissioning mould tools is a reasonably technical process and when all the work is carried out "in between" our main projects (our co...

Re: Chess for schools website
All First ammendment to the site took place over the week-end - all suggestions and comments gratefully received!! I've sent 10 of the production sign-off sets to the ECF so hopefully we can populate the site with some pictures of the sets in use to better demonstrate their size and quality. See my ...

Re: Chess for schools website
Hi Andrew Everyone in the project is operating "pro bono" - the website was designed and hosted free of charge by Room11 Design - the content is an amalram of content from various sources - but my name is on the bottom of it and therefore as the saying has it, the buck stops here. I've had requests ...
