I was looking at the top players list on the ECF grading list and noticed that Ian Nepomniatchi has an ECF grade of 299.

Has anybody ever surpassed 300 ECF grade?

We had a match in the Yorkshire league last season, where three of our players had large upset wins. Board 2, our player graded 140 beat a 182 Board 3, our player graded 95 (aged 85) won vs a player graded 178 Board 5, our player graded 82 beat a 160. A quite remarkable set of results for one match!...

But the basic proposition already is quite firmly comic :) Maybe you mean something different to what you actually wrote or something. It actually happened. They played 1 round, and the arbiter repaired it, exempting the players whose opponents didn't change in the two pairing list from playing. Why?
