Re: The Mystery Of The Missing Bognor Regis Knights' Heads

Interesting but no difference from those that chewed heads off pieces in the 1970s/80s/90s/00s & 10s.
Also ought to be sold with a warning - not suitable for young children.

Re: ECF Finance Council Meeting April 2017

Brian - that really is old news & as far as I'm concerned was not even mentioned at the ECF Finance Council Meeting on April 2017. ECF have graded these games going to adjudication with a result & also charged for it. My point is that some of the key people are playing chess in Crete, or wit...

Re: ECF Finance Council Meeting April 2017

Surely we wait for the agreed minutes & with many playing chess in Crete in the seniors they ought to be ready 2nd or 3rd week in May?

Move forward & forget about decisions in past or any suggested motives.

Re: Quarter Final Draw

As only one game in 12 months in May 2016 for same team & he lost. He may even be eligible for any Lower teams?
Hopefully throw the non-ECF registration penalty at national stages at them as not sure why the rest of us ought to pay it!

Any chance of PM on a name?

I think I'll get a complaint in now - I remember the original well.

Re: Ever sat at the Wong Board?

Never played anyone by the name of Wong. Ever. Surely you mean Wrong? Was at a county match once where Surrey Players sat on the wrong colours so ended up with 7 blacks to opponents 9 whites. Not sure how the match captains did not pick this up before the start of play. Surrey players have frequentl...

Re: ECF Finance Council Meeting April 2017

Apart from nothing from Gold Members I cannot remember Nick Faulks consulting those playing London League. Hopefully he consulted with the constituent clubs. On Surrey they have County & adults league & juniors & am sure that the more pertinent proposals they sought views in advance. No ...

Re: World Senior Teams 23 April to 3 May, Crete

SCCU team is a fantastic foursome so enjoy. You all deserve it.

Of course the real mad ones are those combining a meeting in Birmingham before flying out & just hope you are not caught up in snow/cancelled flights.

Re: World Senior Teams 23 April to 3 May, Crete

There are lots of players I know (London area & SCCU) in all the teams 50+ & 65+ Best wishes to them including Bermuda & SCCU. What really impresses me are the numbers that played in last night's London League matches at Cavendish with Cavendish 1 playing Mushrooms 1 & Cavendish 3 pl...

Re: ECF Finance Council Meeting April 2017

It is a bit worrying if the ECF are having to carry out all the admin on the BCF trustees position - I thought the organisation had expired. As for trustees etc a bit worrying if not examined but certainly where is the suggestion that this can be in perpetuity. That is something LAs have gone back t...
