Does anyone know when the following will be published?

Groups for Div1 and Div2
The fixture list
The draw for the first Div3 weekend
Lists of registered players

And who do you think is going to do well in each division??

I will tip Bristol to do well. What do you mean, 12th-place finish last year?

Seriously, though, we didn't do too badly as individuals, it's just all our points got scored in the wrong places - we lost five matches last season, but only e2e4 beat us by more than 4½-3½.

Really looking forward to getting started in the Northern League. Would be great to see the list of registered players for the other teams to see how strong that division will be.

Even though I have no idea of the strength of the other teams I am predicting a top place for Bradford DCA Knights A Team, and a second place for our B team! We have been boosted by the addition of an FM on our top board. Can't wait until rounds 9,10 and 11 to play the southern teams in the final rounds!!!

4NCL RapidPlay last weekend was a good warm up. Jack - losing that Queen and opposite coloured bishops ending against you in the last round niggled at me the whole drive home!

We'll probably have a jamboree format for the eighth round - not ideal, but better than not kicking off the Northern League at all! Hopefully once it's got off the ground other northern teams will sign up next season.

We're hoping to sort out the fixtures etc over the weekend of 16/17 October. I believe we're still waiting for some of the team registration lists.

Will there be a stall to sign up to be an Engish chess federation member, as usual? It is such a hassle dealing with them over the phone and I am never really sure where my bank details are ending up.

I understand from David Welch that (whilst there may not be anything as formal as a stall) players will be able to become ECF members at 4NCL weekends - no doubt by approaching an arbiter before the start of play and waving cash or a cheque book to get attention.

So how many sandwiches would it cost me to become an ECF member? I am willing to throw in a few pringles to sweeten the deal.

Does anyone know when 4NCL games are submitted for FIDE grading? I've seen none of mine submitted to FIDE, but one has gone to ECF from 4th Nov 2012.
i have the below missing:
12th-13th January 2013, Daventry Court Hotel.
Round 3 win
Round 4 loss

23rd-24th February 2013, Daventry Court Hotel.
Round 5 win
Round 6 win

Controller (Hillingdon League)

End of the season. Look at some of the rating histories for players from last year.

Under current rules, they are submitted in their entirety to the next available list after completion of the league. This is 1st June 2013 presumably. This enables part ratings to be properly noted. FIDE have often been uncertain as to the best approach for rating leagues and the rules may be changing again for 2013-14.

13-14 FIDE Ratings for all leagues will have to submitted monthly. It is perfectly true we didn't know which way was better and thus allowed either. Most leagues chose monthly. Also, with a shorter period, monthly makes more sense as I am convinced it would do for the ECF.

Will the rating system be capable of linking results for part ratings? If you need a minimum of three games for an initial part rating as well as at least one draw, that's rather difficult over a two game 4NCL weekend.
