I notice that the 4NCL have now decided to submit the results for FIDE grading on a round-by-round basis rather than submitting them all in one chunk in May.
What is the rationale behind this?

Diktat by FIDE. On paper it makes it much more difficult to obtain a FIDE rating as the first part rating is supposed to be scoring at least a point over at least three rounds.Andrew Bak wrote: What is the rationale behind this?
No public objections appear to have been raised by the 4NCL or the ECF.
There's material elsewhere on the forum under a discussion about next year's FIDE elections.

Great! So somebody has a bad weekend they can kiss bye bye to 20-30 rating points now!
Lose one queen and it is a disaster, Lose 1000 queens and it is just a statistic.
