Hi Mat

According to an email from Dave Thomas dated 19 October the draft seedings were:

Div 3S
1 Rhyfelwyr Essyllwg
2 Wessex
3 Surbiton
4 Midland Monarchs 1
5 Fermented Sharks
6 Anglian Avengers 2
7 Leeds University Old Boys
8 Poisoned Pawns
9 Ashfield-Breadsall 1
10 Shropshire 1
11 Warwickshire Select 2
12 BCM Rhinos [2]
13 The Rookies
14 West is Best 1
15 Oxford 2
16 MK Phoenix 2

If they did not change, and I did not spot a later email, then you will have the same colours for Saturday and Sunday.

Good luck!
Paul Hatchett

We'd have been seeded bottom or near-bottom, wouldn't we? We are only in the division at all because e2e4 pulled out.

Why is it luck of the draw, it is their own fault that they didn't win against AA2 and Shropshire, if they lose against yourselves and Shropshire & AA2 both win, then they are the 4 best team on results in the pool
Yes, for avoidance of doubt, it wasn't a complaint as the results speak for themselves. I would consider it our good fortune if The Rookies win and qualify for the promotion pool thereby improving our score by two points rather than bad luck or unfair if AA2 qualify carrying forward a victory against us.

On exactly which day did you send your entry fees?

This is the right weekend this time, right?

From http://www.4ncl.co.uk/entry_guidelines.htm
All entries, whether for existing teams or for new entrants, need to be received together with the appropriate entry fee by Wednesday 30 September 2015.

The deadline was amended by an email from Mike Truran (an email which I have and you, I suspect, don't). It's actually immaterial as I'm simply correcting the notion that e2e4 'pulled out' of the 4NCL.

How does that e-mail fit in with the 4NCL e-mail to teams potentially reprieved from relegation which said "Sean Hewitt is seeking to challenge our decision not to readmit the e2e4 teams despite ... his previously stated intention not to make the appeal that we offered him."?

Ended 3-3, great match. Bit of a weird quirk that Warwicks 2 went from 4th in their group with 4 wins, 3 losses to 3 wins out of 3 in the promotion pool. Not a complaint about the system, just an observation.

I'm not sure why, but they face West is Best on Sunday in an immediate clash of the two leading teams. With the Warwick first team in the division two demotion pool, how should they deploy their resources?
