The final entry was 93 despite a few no-shows from people who had entered before the day.

Overall it was another very successful event and Huddersfield is becoming established on the chess calendar for both its tournaments.

The 2008 Congress has already been booked for March 28-30 2008. The last weekend in March is proposed to be the regular date for the Huddersfield Congress from now on.
