A very successful event on Sunday 18th July at Brentwood Chess Club, Bardeswell Social Club, Brentwood. 65 entered.

Andrew Lewis, Hugh Fenwick and Kevin White won the Open. Andrew Lewis won the Essex Rapid title on tie-break.
Andrew Brett won the North Essex League Rapid Title.

U160

Sean Clarke, John Daugman and Malcolm Kingsley were joint first.

U140

Geoffrey Bishop and Nathasha Bogoda were joint first. Nathasha Bogoda won the Essex Junior Rapid title.

U120

Colchester Junior Adam Taylor won this section with 5/6.
