Here`s the summary results from last weekends events in Sheffield.....
http://www.sjmann.supanet.com/SheffCong14.htm
This was well run and keenly fought in all sections, and held at The King Edward V11 GS, which proved a good spot on the edge of the Peaks. Good refreshments and on-site catering very much appreciated, and the turnout of around 130 players in total was pretty good. As a bonus...those who finished early got a chance for some stiff hill walking to the local shops, if they ventured out in the sunny weather. Those cyclists coming next weekend for the Tour De Yorks will find these parts pretty challenging...but some great scenary.

Sounds good :) Looks like the not quite juniors anymore had a fine time of it in the open.

There should eventually be complete cross table data etc on chessnuts: http://www.chessnuts.org.uk/ny5/events. ... e=Congress but it isn't there yet. Some poor soul will obviously have to type it all in first. You can see last years event if you hunt around.

As expected, full cross tables for the events here: http://www.chessnuts.org.uk/ny5/events. ... eventid=30

Open here: http://www.chessnuts.org.uk/ny5/swissx. ... ionid=1371

Quite notable field that actually. Perhaps not quite the top end strength of Scarbrough but judged in depth it looks like comfortably the strongest open field of any of the Yorkshire congresses? Some awfully solid players in the groups on 2 to 3 points.
