Marcus Harvey destroyed that field. Though whether he will be U225 next year is another matter.

Had they used the January list, he wouldn't have been eligible this year.

So it was July 2014 grades for eligibility, but will be Jan 2015 grades for calculation?

The ECF doesn't do backdating, so there's no other choice. They used the rankings implied by the July list for pairings as well. Had they used December grades for pairings, the cross table would have given the playing performance apart from those playing ungraded opposition or juniors.
