Comfortable win. David seems to be broadening his openings.

Surprising black let himself be mated, perhaps the time trouble was too bad to know the number of moves.

David is playing his round 6 game atm, he's currently on 4.5/5

Yes Loz I'm watching and enjoying it.

Going on the grade difference, he should have no problem.
One thing I don't understand about David, is he seems to play obscure opening lines, but don't mind me, in terms of chess I've not a clue what I'm talking about.

White being very cautious given he is a GM. I might watch Nikolic instead :)

Well black against a GM rated 2470 will be a stern test. He seems to have comfortably equalised but it'll be interesting to see how the game pans out.

He seems to be expanding his repertoire a lot recently. It will certainly make him a lot harder to prepare for.

Are the games still going? Seems like they play very late, or maybe they are an hour behind us in Europe? I thought it was an hour ahead. Anyway. While I'm posting here, is it possible to get the typo in the thread header fixed? It will mess things up if people search for threads with the search term "Howell" in the header.

I suspect black may have resigned although I expected him to throw in a few more checks. Either that or the coverage has stalled.

Still getting moves in van den doel v nikolic; although I won't pretend to know what is happening.

But rounds at 18:00? Is it an after work thing?
