Many thanks, it's easily done, especially when you get the message about a limit in embedding quotes and frantically start removing them one by one.

The weather is astonishingly good, and we are right on the water - it's a miracle that any of the players are still left in the hall...

And to think I had second thoughts about keeping the live board on one this afternoon, in case there was a quick draw!

Nice Congress - would suit lots of players in England (return air fare from Gatwick < £80, single room £36 a night B+B). Some photos here: http://tinyurl.com/Jersey2013 Hope to add more over next few days.

Any chance of board two being shown live in round seven?

There is a chance, I will keep my fingers crossed and hope the board works - a few problems last round - but that looks like the game to watch.

We had the Jersey Blitz Championships tonight, 22 played 10 rounds of five-minute chess in good spirit, and enjoyed it enough to want to have it as part of the official programme next year! Igor Rausis won (losing one game to Bruce Jenks's London System), Andrew Stone was a solid second and Marcin Mazurkiewicz won the Island title.

From 2 hours 49 mins and 41 seconds to 2 hours 58 mins and 31 seconds - so nearly 9 mins of airtime for chess!

Due to the weather we are stuck here for a few more days! Unfortunately Tito has taken all the chess sets away so we can't even have another chess event...
