Great news that he looks set to get him IM title very soon!

It looks like 20.c4 was just a blunder today? Maybe he had to take urgent action with something like Bxd5 or Be1.

Yes, 1 GM norm and 1 IM norm from the 4NCL. It looked like he would repeat that here but hopefully a second IM norm and breaking past 2400 will be of some consolation.

Yang-Fan would not care if you wanted to play on in a drawn position for 200 moves as he be more than happy to show you it was a draw.When he used to play at Richmond Junior Chess club he was one tough cookie to break down and very few did :wink:

Weather not so good today but at least the rain butt will fill up for the greenhouse plants.

So James can become an IM via the 4NCL this season, if not before, which would be good
