Round 3. Interesting game by Keith Arkell. Move 25, he has sacrificed a Knight in what should be ( hopefully ) a winning attack.

I'm not sure he has played the best continuation, but in Keith we trust

Keith won. Great game. That's the way Magnus should play, but maybe his opponent wouldn't co-operate !

Yes, a draw with a GM and a win against an IM, with another IM today; let's hope he keeps going

Shouldn't all this be moved by the mods to the Seniors Section where there was already a pre-tournament thread about this event?
Keith is still playing as I write (1930 here, after four and a half hours play), just past the time control, in an ending where all results seem possible.
His opponent is the GM whom Terry Chapman lost to yesterday (going wrong just before move 40) but Terry won today and has 3/4.
In the 65+ Craig Pritchett has drawn and is on 3.5/4. Tony Stebbings was on 3/3 and is still playing a rook ending against IM Harandi from Iran.

Keith & Tony drew
The 50+ has 4 on 4/4, with Keith among 7 on 3.5/4; top seed Sturua lost and is on 2.5/4; Peter Gayson and Terry Chapman have 3
Keith has white against Barle, who I am sure he has played at previous seniors events
pairings
The 65+ has only 2 players on 4/4; Tony Stebbings and Craig Pritchett among 21 on 3.5
pairings
