Results in round 2 again largely with rating. It's going to get interesting now though - round 3 draw about to be published.

(I did have a query about whether the live board in round 2 Buckley-Ryszard was correct. It was indeed agreed a draw.)

An overnight windows update on the control PC (grrr) appears to have affected the live boards this morning. Apologies, we're working on it.

If the opening moves are correct on board 1 then we should be in for an entertaining game.

Nice attacking game by Mark Hebden. But can he win after sacrificing a rook for three pawns ? Probably !

At move 33, it looks like Hebden's bishop on c6 is going to be lost to a check. And Hebden has resigned.

And now attention turns to board 2 Arkell-Horton. The clock times are correct by the way - Keith is 1 hour ahead.

Four players on 3.5 then?! With three of them due Black, one is in for a pleasant surprise.

Arkell-Horton was drawn, so three on 3.5 going into last round - Bucknell, Cox and Merry.
