Statistics For 2009

Post by Carl Hibbard » Mon Jul 27, 2009 6:57 am

For this years Championship "we" are going to try and be a little more accurate on both the number of requests and actual visitor numbers

There is no real accurate method but we will try!

So:- Multiple hits with the same IP, user agent and access day, will be considered a single visit

Is there a way to count those people who may be watching the Championship on the ICC?

Yes, you would need to ask the server administrators of ICC to provide the information : I don't know who they are.

Well, boards 1-5 seem to be working. Well, at least they're displaying that the games exist. The other box doesn't seem to show anything at all. :?

Conversely, right now I can't see 1-5 (I could earlier) but I can see 6-10.

"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Will this not understate your visitors who may be watching at work, when employed by a big company eg Lloyds, or HM Gov depts where are large number of users will be counted as possibly one or a small number of users.

Yes it will spot on....

But then the only method is the quote the number of requests (or hits...) and the nature of the DGT software (lots of small files...) overstates the actual number of people watching!

It's hard work yes
