The brand new site for the Chiltern League is now live.

Visit http://www.chilternleague.org.uk/ if you dare.

This is running version 1.2 of LeagueManage from The UK Chess Organisation (me!) :)

Enjoy!

The first two matches in the innovative u-100 division of the Chiltern League took place this weekend and the results reported and confirmed by the captains :)

The league tables auto updated. :P

The u-100 division is a twelve board division with 6 adults and 6 juniors from each county. The top adult plays the top child and then alternates down the boards.

From all accounts it was a very popular format.

Well done to Chris Stothert (Bucks), Christine Coates (Berks), Steve Bennett (Oxon.) and Jon Hunt (Hampshire) for making it happen! :D

It looks like a good website; it's a pity I no longer play in the Chiltern League.

However, presumably by some oversight, the Facebook group link on the right hand side of the page takes you to the Surrey Border League group rather than the Chiltern League group.

Ooops!

Now fixed and thanks for pointing out an instance of wine accompanied copying and pasteing!

Fixtures for the 2013 -2014 season now available from

here :D

Within a couple of days I am releasing a new feature that will allow one to import all of the fixtures for

a team
a club
a division
a league

by one mouse-click (maybe two!) operation

into your calender (assuming it supports the iCAL calendering format) :D

Hopefully this be a useful addition.

Brilliant idea John. Will you be implementing it into any of the other leagues that use your web design?
I'm thinking specifically of the Hillingdon League and the London League.

Thanks and
Yes, indeed. It will be rolled out across the board...

I see that the Chiltern League recommenced yesterday (unless there were earlier matches I don't know about). Anyone know what the current website for the Chiltern League is?

https://www.chilternleague.org.uk/ has been hijacked by the Berkshire Chess Association.

https://www.oxfordfusion.com/oca/index.cfm?Org=8 has nothing on it more recent than the 2019-20 season.

The domain and hosting above is owned and paid (and always has been) for by myself and was used by the Chiltern League from 2007 until 2016.

There was a disagreement between Mr. Dennis and myself and, despite the team captains not wishing to switch he moved to the Fusion thingy.

I was left with the costs etc and repointed the domain to the BCA domain.
