Hastings & St. Leonards Chess Club is considering disposing of a number of books and is in receipt of an offer for them.
It seems prudent to our Committee to see if there is anyone out there who could first give us an independent valuation of what we have, even if only on a very broad basis given the varying condition of our books.
If there is anyone who feels able to assist I would be grateful if they would get in touch.

You might want to have a look at www.abebooks.com, which is usually a pretty good guide to what dealers are asking for antiquarian and second hand chess books.

Mike Sheehan (caissa.book1 at googlemail dot com) is an antiquarian chess book dealer who has a good overview of the market. It would be worth inviting his opinion.
