Playing to Win half price for Forum Members!
A lot of traffic I get for my site is from ECF forum members. Obviously my 'politically incorrect' views attract some attention. I do bitch quite a bit to be honest, but I'd rather be a bit controversial than boring, especially if it reveals something about the chess world.
Anyway, because I know chess players like to be thrifty with their money, for one week I'm going to offer Playing to Win at half price for ECF forum members. If you get in touch with me via the comments or elsewhere, I'll send you the book for £4.75- you don't get many chess books that cheap!

Since this had a great response I'm doing this again this week... I've written a new introduction to the novel too.

I think James might have been joking about the 'signed copy' but I would try and do that if someone wanted it. If you did, I could possibly print it out and post it to you, but would have to add printing costs and postage. Most of them time people download it online- if/when I become famous (;)) I promise to sign either a copy or an autograph for you- long term if everything goes correctly, it would be out in regular print too.

Hi Mark,
"There's some tounge in cheek romance included." https://markhowitt.blogspot.com/2009/07 ... o-win.html
I'm probably the last person on the planet to nit-pick a spelling slip (unless it is deliberate and is some kind of 'in' joke which I'm nor privy too.) but as it is part of the advert for the book it may put potential buyers off.
"Chess players are funny sometimes' I agree, but they are also, when it comes to buying chess books, very pedantic most times.
Good Luck.
