If you can use Fritz, I can use Google: Pert vs Pert in the British 2001: http://www.chessgames.com/perl/chessgame?gid=1183023 (make sure you're sitting down because it's quite a game).

I quite like Perts position.
Lose one queen and it is a disaster, Lose 1000 queens and it is just a statistic.

Heh. The present one slightly more entertaining.

Jack read this, and says that D.Ledger played A.Ledger at one of the Scarborough Britishes.

I fail at getting an IM norm. Again. I also fail at having a love life, and I fail at having a job, and I fail at having a haircut that doesn't make me look like a lesbian. Other than that, my life is pretty good.

1. You are already an IM
2. Jobs aren't all they are cracked up to be
3. *
4. You have hair, the cut is up to you

* Not qualified to advise on relationships, at all. I think that a lot of players fall into that category.

Definitely doing one or other at the Classic. Not really interested in arbiting if computer pairings are used, but interested if manual pairings are.

Success isn't all it's cracked up to be either. Being a reasonable human being, far more important.

In round 5 of the Under 14 Championship, Marcus Harvey defeated Radha Jain, one of the few players who I thought might upset him.
Isn't he that Rastfarian chap? Oh no that's Garvey.

Anybody else think Williams' centre looks an awful lot stronger than Conquest's flank advance?

Well, Stuart does, anyway.

By my reckoning, then, Mickey can't win the title today.

If Mickey plays Simon Williams tomorrow, who would get White?

Do people still think Mickey stands significantly better? Personally, I don't see it, though I expect he will prod and poke away at his opponent's position in typical fashion.
