Hats at the board

I rarely wear a hat, prefer to dazzle the opponent with the reflection off my extensive forehead! But I take a cap because just occasionally the curtains in school halls we play in don't close properly and we have to put up with bright sunlight creeping across the playing area. Also - does anyone remember the chap who used to have two eyes printed on the peak of his cap? He used to play regularly in the Midlands area.
