The Eastleigh Rail C team that beat Winchester D 3-1 in the Southampton League certainly ticked the diversity boxes.
The top board was Mike Henbury who at 2 feet 11 inches tall is generally believed to be Britain's smallest adult and he has also acted in Star Wars. Mike's 11year old son Joseph who was taller than his Dad at four years of age achieved his first ever Southampton League win in this match.
The other two players consisted of a player sufficiently blind to require a designated set and an Indian woman who is also our treasurer.
