Devastated that there is no Anand v Gelfand game today.
I have just painted the bathroom - I guess if I now spend a couple of hours watching it dry my afternoon will be as equally well spent as yesterday.
No wonder TV has no interest in chess . . . . bring on the dancing dogs

My own (and Steve Bloggs') answer is to switch off the TV and Internet, get out a chess set and play through some past game(s) (WC for Steve but Linares 1991 for me) and compare then and now.

A lot more exciting than listening to all the hype surrounding some Manchester football club(s) who either did or didn't win the league.
