9. Against the women's world champion (as I vaguely recall).

Then again, DR's suggested answer to no. 7 stands a good chance.

7. What did he, Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand all have in common?
A pretty well known question. Come in with....
7 What did Fischer, Mae West and Mickey Spillane all have in common?
The same answer. They all went to Erasmus Hall High School.
Favourite Fischer question. Name the Scottish Champion who Beat Fischer?

IM Raymond Weinstein also went to Erasmus High. I don't know whether Bobby and he overlapped. Neil and Bobby certainly didn't. But Bobby and Barbra did.
Where is Raymond currently? It is not a pleasant answer.
What makes St Paul's School stand out in chess terms, probably worldwide? Nothing to do with Bobby directly.

"Favourite Fischer question. Name the Scottish Champion who Beat Fischer?"
somewhere lurking at the back of my mind is the name Max Pavey?
"Where is Raymond currently? It is not a pleasant answer."
I hope I'm not going to libel him - is he banged up somewhere?

He sold his soul to the devil to get those 6-0 matches, apparently (though this story may be apocryphal).Paul McKeown wrote: 9. Steinitz offered God pawn and move, allegedly. Did Bobby do something similar?

Re: Mastermind Good Friday
1. What year did Bobby score 11/11 in the US Championship? 1963-4. I tried to get 4/1 odds that he would score 11/11 after round 4, but nobody offered better than 3/1.
2. Who, according to Hans Kmoch, won that US Championship, apart from the exhibition. Larry Evans came second
3. What Board did he play for the Rest of the World v the USSR in 1970? Two. I was in Belgrade before the match started and, when I heard this mooted, asked, 'Who will tackle Bobby?' I was gobsmacked when he agreed.
4. Who did he partner in a consultation game in England? Leonard Barden
5. How many blitz games did I play again Bobby? 9. I published only 2 as the others were rubbish. Well, really so was the one I drew.
6. What odds, if any, did I get in all those blitz games? 10/1 money odds at $1 per game. Thus he won $8.
7. What did he, Neil Diamond and Barbra Streisand all have in common? Indeed they all went to Erasmus High. Neil and Bobby did not overlap.
8. Bobby did marry. What is the nationality of his wife? Japanese.
9. Against whom did he claim he could give knight odds? Any woman player. There was some attempt to get the match on against Gaprindashvili. I imagine Bobby was joking.
10. What line did he claim busted the King's Gambit? 3...d6.
11. Where did Fischer and Spassky play their matches? Iceland and Yugoslavia.
Raymond Weinstein when I knew him was a pleasant young man. He later committed murder and was incarcerated in a mental institution. According to Sam Sloan he was the only person to visit him for many years and did so only once. Sam said he cannot be considered for release into the community as there is nobody prepared to take responsibility for him.
I have only now realised that he and GM Arthur Bisguier are cousins.
