Postponing the world championship

Kasparov spent some time with the online commentators in Tromso during round 5:

Lot of comments to the games and of course talks about FIDE elections: something that caught my attention is the intention of Kasparov, if elected president, to postpone the world championship match and have it sometimes in Spring 2015 instead of November 2014. Key reason: looking for sponsors and advertise better the event. Probably a change of location is planned even though he did not mention this explicitly.

While it kind of fits in the Kasparov program, I was surprised: I would have thought such a plan would have got a more prominent position in his program and would have been communicated already. Did I just miss something? Did Kasparov already explicitly announce the intention to move the WC?

I rather thought the point was that the Socchi deal would likely be off the table if K wins the election.

Whether Carlsen will be prepared to go to Russia, given the atmosphere in Norway now, is another question
