I remember an Andrew Martin commentary on the british a few years ago, where combination pin/skewers were discussed (I think Rook in front of Rook) and some debate about the correct terminology ... kebab was suggested.

I always understood that the authoritative source for all this was "Chess for Children". That's how I was taught it, anyway!

I think that is what I am looking for....Black Rooks on d5 and a8 and White Bishop on f3. is it?

That is (still) commonly known as a skewer in English.

A piece may be pinned against a key square not just another piece. eg white to move:-

[FEN "k7/6n1/n1N5/8/2K4R/8/8/8 w - - 0 1"]
If W plays Rh7 the knight is pinned against the square a7. moving the knight results in Ra7 mate.

If black attempts to free himself with Kb7 white replies Nd4 and the Knight on g7 is pinned against the black king.

For me, very. If only to make the page look easier to read.
The book you are translating is a beginner's book. It definitely needs the diagrams.

I have made diagrams, but they differ in size and resolution, particularly since I am forced to juxtapose some diagrams sometimes.

Assuming you mean the UK and not England, Quality Chess are based in Scotland.
