2 players on a correspondence/turned base chess site have made over 1,000,000 moves. They are currently rated 1608 & 1532. The higher rated person took about a month under 9 years and the other about a month under 10 years. The 1608 rated player is from the USA and the other is in Macedonia. There are currently 413 players with more than 100,000 moves made there.

I think the poster was referring to the ratings achieved assuming the values quoted are on the same scale as International Elo. You would think lots of practice would result in becoming a better player, but it's not always the case. There again, we don't know what their ratings or strength was when the marathons started.Steven DuCharme wrote:Please define quality.
