Barrow chess club has a substantial chess library based on a bequest from one of our longest serving members more than a decade ago (so mostly old books to start with) but it has since been added to significantly, with several newer titles added.
Even most old books have *some* interest IMO, some very significantly so (it is only through using it recently that I have ever got to look at Alekhine's classic games collections properly, for example)
Also several old "CHESS" magazines, including a complete run from 1935-1960 - I have gone through them all
