Chess world records
Some interesting world records set recently:
Timur Gareyev breaks blindfold record
Another world record: Navara and Movsesian play a simul
Can anyone think of any obscure (or not so obscure) chess world records they found particularly impressive?
Is there a tradition of amateurs trying to set chess-related world records?

Lots of us know of Tim Krabbe's site (Chess Curiosities) and very good it is too (even if it doesn't get updated much these days)

I guessed most would know it
Reading it through, The "the shortest decisive game ever played in a serious tournament is": Fischer Panno 1970 where Panno actually resigned not forfeited as opposed to Djordjevic - Kovacevic, which Krabbe states.

Re: Chess world records
The fastest time to arrange a chess set into a classic chess arrangement is 32.42 seconds and was achieved Alva Wei (USA), in Renton, Washington, USA on 13 January 2015.
This record was broken on the Guinness World Record Challengers site (Challengers' tag: chess4lifealva): http://challengers.guinnessworldrecords ... empts/6363
Some of those world class bullet players or junior player ought to be able to beat this. Will give their coaches something different from the normal session and lets get to see a English (British?) world record holder!

If you want to count that sort of thing, there have been other instances I believe.Joshua Gibbs wrote:I guessed most would know it
