To be honest, Soheil, none of that will matter. Tournaments in this country will either need an untitled foreigner or they won't.

Why not email [email protected] with this information? I think he's running a tournament in Coulsdon at the end of August, and he often has trouble getting enough foreigners.

I am untitled, as you can see on my FIDE profile (well, a USCF chess expert, but don't know what that means other than my UScf rating.

Who is him?

The organiser behind [email protected]. Is it still Scott Kenyon?

FIDE-rated tournaments, some of them title-norm tournaments. In Coulsdon, an area of south London.

I emailed him and noted he should arrange for me the visa, transportation, lodging, and food provision.

You are aware that you would need to pay for all of the above?

If they need me, they should bear the expenses, don't they?

The problem is that they don't, or not at the expense of their budget for an IM or GM.

Even beyond the obvious one of locals who are SCO, WLS or IRL for FIDE purposes, London has any number of non-English players to say nothing of visiting tourists.

I didn't ask for an appearance fee or pocket money, and sometimes an organizer wants a foreign player in their tournament.
Otherwise it's cost me dearly.

What on earth makes you think that a tournament organiser would be prepared to pay all these expenses for someone rated 1756? You're ranked 70,000 in the world, not 7th.
