Hello.
I have got government's go fo establishing a chess club. What's the next step?
Any suggestion is welcome

Do you have any players? They're usually a useful thing to have.

I will find them. I am asking for5 ways to make it a more educative environment

Just tell them to open an account on here and then ask as many questions as they like.

My club's location had to be established before I go through the process for obtaining the permit, if you mean that

What is your club for? Does it exist primarily for:

1. Its members to play competitive games against each other?
2. Its members to play competitive games against members of other clubs?
3. Its members to play friendly games?
4. Its members to work on getting better at the game?
5. Something else?

(My local club, for example, focuses on #1 with a bit of #2; #3 happens mostly as a by-product of #1.)

I suspect the differences between a chess club in Iran and a chess club in the UK are non-trivial.

The fact that you need Government permission is a fairly significant one....

Richard has beaten me to one point - to which I planned to add that one can hardly oppose the establishment of a chess club for which the State has granted approval. But that leaves open my second point - one can hardly support the establishment of a chess club for which there is no demand. Unless the authorities plan to ensure demand! So I guess the key point is: government permission notwithstanding, does anyone need another chess club?

And finally, to the question of Government's role in the supply of chess clubs. I don't know of any examples where Government has mandated their existence - though I imagine examples can be found. But I am aware of Government forcing the closure of chess clubs in order to maintain public order. In his fabulous history of the French Revolution, Citizens, Simon Schama has this to say:

"...a mopping up campaign to silence the opposition. Printers were raided; journals were closed down; and any club or association suspected of fomenting opposition was closed down. These included those notorious nests of subversives, chess clubs"

Iran has form for this, back in 1979 or 1980 when they banned chess.

We need the approval of particular Unions/associations & Government (mostly police) to establish almost anything.

It's a metaphor from horse racing and other sports. It conveys there's a history in Iran of chess hostile government and authorities.
