I understand that one can make a nice earner asking other people to empty cat litter trays :!:
Paul, perhaps you may care to enlighten us on your qualifications to dismiss my expertise gained through 30 years of police work.
Actually, Earnest, I don't dismiss your expertise; I dismiss your dismissal of other people's point of view, because, you insist in parading your credentials.
It appears you must have first hand experience of these things to speak so authoratively. I am interested so please let us in on your vast experiences.
Actually, I'm a member of the public, that gives me sufficient authority, it's called democracy.

Ah here we go again. Let me fill you in on a secret well know to the educated public: abuse thrives best in an environment of unquestionable authority. Live and learn, it's never too late.

Let me be clear on my previous post, I am not pointing the finger at anyone specifically as clearly several people have been slinging comments around that are just not called for...

I will not ask or request for people to keep to the point again but will just start moderating if needed
Cheers

No, this is starting to get really good now, because I can see who would make decent ' Assistant' Coaches and who not.

Perhaps Fergus Christie would care to post his most interesting game.

David James asks if there is a mental checklist one should run through after
the opponent makes a move before replying. I would keep it simple:

1)Note all the checks and captures.

2) Ask yourself: 'What is he trying to
do?'

3) Ask yourself: ' What am I trying to do?'

4) Finally, check for surprise moves - have I missed anything?

Laborious at first, this routine soon becomes second-nature. You will avoid blunders using it!
