Now, this is exciting news!

MO membership increased £1 and all other categories of direct membership increased £2.

To my eyes, those increases look prudent. The Board were budgeting for a loss of £16,700 but hadn't proposed increases in game fee or membership rates.
So MO membership is now £13 (with, presumably still, a 10% discount available for prompt payment) with free league games. While standard membership is now £27 with game fee payable for league games?

The ECF Council have voted that club members should pay exclusively for the ECF and that national leagues and Congresses should get a free ride. Back to 1993 it is then.

There's just the one service that the ECF can offer the club player and massively overcharge for it. That's grading of course. It's just abolished that as a profit centre.

The ECF is taking a massive leap into the dark as to how many club players it can sign up as members, and based on a 55/45 spilt as well.

Is that correct? In his "Management Services Review and the Future of ECF Funding" document for the October 2010 AGM, Andrew Farthing stated:
"Switch to Membership Schemes only... This option would require changes to the Articles of Association that could only be passed with a 75% majority."

The intention was to implement any change for the 2012/13 season.
