Director of Communications

The ECF Director of Communications is a post that requires to be created.
There are officials in post whose role includes some aspects of the above such as Director of Marketing and possibly the Publicity Officer.
There is no Press Officer, as we well know, and this is someone that members of the chess media should be able to liaise with at the ECF.
I am therefore calling for the creation of such a post and hopefully a pro-active, energetic person will be nominated for it.
With my BCM hat on I have not noticed any activities of the Publicity Officer (but they have may have happened) for some months now and only ChessBoxing activities from the Director of Marketing.
I do not recall the last press briefing from the ECF.
