Why there should "often" be such items escapes me, particuarly as items have been known to be kept confidential for bad reasons as well as good.Stewart Reuben wrote:Of course there are often some confidential items.

Is there an email address at which I could reach the CEO? It might be on the website but I'm struggling to find it.

Justine Horton >Why there should "often" be such items escapes me,<
Speaking for myself, just in the last 3 months, there are at least 3 items which have been partially confidential. All 3 are positive for English chess. I am just one manager among many and there are also the directors.
Perhaps the funniest such item was many years ago. Somebody told me something in 'strict confidence'. I found out later that he had already issued a press release about the matter!

I also know that you are prepared to say to other members of the board if you belive a matter should not be in strict confidence which is to your credit.

Not as yet, no. No acknowledgement, no nothing.

2 weeks later. No sign of any minutes, the minutes secretary not even being listed under vacancies, no acknowledgement of it being an issue. Good going ECF.JustinHorton wrote:We're nearly three months on. 19 January's are headed "in draft and in confidence". 7 March is still represented by a snapshot. Obviously it was marked confidential. I am not a gog.
Mick. You can post on newspaper forums, but the comment is always monitored first.
I have suggested it not be called ECF Forum because that is confusing with this one. Perhaps Forum Chess England? Some will remember FIDE used to have a forum, but discontinued the site, presumably for the usual reasons.
