Paul, please don't give the ECF Board ideas for new excuses.

Apparently there was a Board Meeting on 15th July and a link to a precis has been posted on the ECF home page but it does not yet appear with the rest of the Minutes.

The link is: http://www.englishchess.org.uk/wp-conte ... uly-v4.doc

So what is the new Forum's purpose and how is it misperceived?

Also from the same paragraph
minutes wrote: The Board praised the work of the Social Media Manager
From reading between the lines and identifying new appointments on the ECF website, I believe that is Phil Makepeace using the moniker of @ecfchess on twitter. I'm not sure why such appointments are never announced, relying on the deduction powers of readers of the ECF website instead.

"I'm not sure why such appointments are never announced, relying on the deduction powers of readers of the ECF website instead."

especially when the post involves communication...

"So what is the new Forum's purpose and how is it misperceived?"

A very good question - it has made contradictory statements. Perhaps they should clarify matters, but as you don't get answers to simple questions over there, I can't see it happening.

A slight heads up:

Once Julian Assange has "left the premises" he has undertaken (but I cannot promise anything) to publish the full unredacted minutes of meetings on his well-known site.

Suggest you ask the CEO on the ECF Forum?

Someone's done that already. The original question (which was something along the lines of "why is it taking so long to produce minutes?") has disappeared from the forum, but the unenlightening response is still there:

"Production of Minutes continues to be a problem, yet progress is being made. Posted today [30 June] are draft minutes or snapshots of major decisions for all ECF Board Meetings to date."
