I fear that Paul may be in danger of caricaturing David's post above.
A greater fear for those who follow England must be that the "step closer..." leads to a sudden death match with Poland, again. In world football you can run but you can't hide - even if some pundits think it is a hopeless cause to try to grasp the Grail once again.
