Don't get too engrossed that you forget to hold the BCF AGM. :)

Oxford Utd. v. Northampton 15:00 (but I could be wrong.)
This week's Radio 4 Any Questions came from Northampton and Spurs supporter David Aronovitch jokingly called them - Northampton - cobblers!

Forum standards must be slipping!
If it has not been discussed here after several week then evidently it did not happen ;-)

John, clever of you to arrange the meeting when there is no West Ham match, and I thought you would like to know that West Ham Under somethings have just beaten their Spurs equivalents, away from home, 3-2.

The BCF meeting has been completed place prior to the tea break. I will be succeeding Cynthia Gurney as a Trustee of the John Robinson Youth Chess Trust.

The meeting expressed its surprise at the absence of any reference to ECF membership in your post.

Onto elections. The Chairman has decided that all positions will be voted for by the completion of a green election form (i.e. everything will be decided by poll). Hustings first. Each candidate will have 5 minutes for a combination of speech and questions.

It remains to be seen how much a difference the hustings will make. Roger Edwards spoke for a couple of minutes, but then was only asked one question. Andrew Paulson spoke for four minutes, and therefore ended up taking fewer questions than members might have wished to ask. Phil Ehr got the balance about right. Andrew Moore sent his apologies, which does not strike me as an optimal strategy for a contested election.

He's not going to the chessboxing?
"Do you play chess?"
"Yes, but I prefer a game with a better chance of cheating."

Longer than expected and more questions that I could have thought of for RE :P

What was he asked?

He was asked about the lack of a previous connection with English chess and about the difference that he would make if elected.
