No...no magic wand to suddenly improve the chess scene.
We can only work on the ideas that our respective committees deem practical.
Our local club is working on some initiatives this summer, which hopefully will generate some interest.

Will be have to be extra careful next time we play Bradford
On a different note, it could be worth considering if using F grades in the (fairly strict) CC rules for board order/fixing people to teams really makes sense. They're based on so few games that it might well make sense to treat them as ungraded instead. Maybe not worth it if that risks confusing people.
Fairly rare of course but with the Yorkshire evening leagues being non ECF graded Yorkshire's lower banded teams will naturally tend to have the odd F graded player each year.
