Although you might do better writing to Gary Willson.Well to be neutral about it all you could write to Gary Wilson

For those of us who drink lager and not a small glass of red the rugby was won by New Zealand and Arsenal won as well.

Whoops! I had a sneaking suspicion that the spelling was a little unusual - I blame it on the prosecco (my mistake, that is, not the spelling). Sorry!.John Philpott wrote:Michael Farthing wroteAlthough you might do better writing to Gary Willson.Well to be neutral about it all you could write to Gary Wilson

With thanks to Witney's very own Wychwood brewery."Afraid of the dark, Lagerboy?"
"What's the matter Lagerboy, afraid you might taste something?"

I’m sure I put a "/" between 'where' and 'to'.Jonathan Rogers wrote:As in Henry Kissinger's "who [sic] do I call if I want to call Europe?"Jonathan Bryant wrote:Oh I’m quite sure they’ll manage. "Nexus", is the word you're looking for, I believe.John Upham wrote:Arbiters, or, to be more exact, a select group of arbiters (forgetting the collective noun).
I just hope it's not the Alzheimer's starting to kick in .
Ah, but I was so much older then. I'm younger than that now.

Dear Mike and Martin
The mere mortals who play chess have been ground down by weeks of argument and counter argument about the arbiter nexus etc. Now you are quoting Latin. Please bear with us while we catch up! I did have the privilege of studying a small amount of Latin. Written in the the text books was a quote
"Latin is a language as dead as dead can be
It killed the ancient Romans and now its killing me"
Your comments please gentlemen.
Alan
ps the last time I notice Mike agreed with Roger (in the other place) it was just before the other place crashed completely. Hope it is not an omen Carl!

Re: Who’s in charge?
It's an instinctive thing, Alan. Let it be!
Martin advised me (amongst others) that some of us, in our chat about Greek ancients and their parallels with modern equivalents 'did us no favours'. He was undoubtedly quite correct. Maybe he has fallen into the same trap. But hey! Let it be! Other people talk about the intricacies of the West Ham football team, which appears to have a sacred standing within the ECF, but leaves me cold. Let it be!
My words of wisdom (falling, you might notice, into the very same trap that is highlighted here).
