Buried away in the depths of the ECF website is a very useful document, "Behind the Scenes at the ECF", which provides details of the responsibilities of the ECF Office and the services the permanent staff provide to ECF Directors, ECF members and the wider chess community.
Doesn't such useful information deserve greater prominence on the website and even a menu tab all of its own? It might even be called "ECF Office".

Quite true, but that applies to many other documents and information on the website.Roger de Coverly wrote: It's some years out of date.
It shouldn't be a major issue to keep things up-to-date and provide essential information to the ECF membership.
The ECF needs to get better at telling the public what it does and make sure it follows through and delivers.
I've always found the staff in the ECF Office very helpful and they should get proper recognition for their work.

That seems a good cue to wish the ECF Office staff a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.Mike Truran wrote:It's Xmas soon - don't be so miserable.

Are they allowed to read this forum?
I echo David's best wishes if they are.
Actually, I echo David's best wishes as well if they aren't. Time for a post in the other place.
