Karl Gilg as a POW in East Lothian

I just posted the above at the ChessScotland Forum. And since I spent some time looking into this, I might as well open my request for any further information on Gilg's time in Scotland more widely. As you will see, the BCM website recently asked who was Karl Gilg. See the link above for all the relevant information.
