As for the A KEENE something is telling me that it is Allan (?) Keene, but again, needs verification. Mike Singleton used to produce a S&B club magazine called "Knightmare" that has tons of stuff about old S&B players... thinking I still have some copies I looked around, but, so far, nothing has turned up... someone else closer to home might be able to oblige.

I have the relevant copies of Knightmare but they are not currently accessible as building work is being carried out on the interior of the Chess Palace and my entire library is under a tarpaulin at present.

A boring draw from the 1975 congress against a fellow Forumite:

I think this rather fortuitous win was published in RAT (the R&TCC magazine) at the time.

Knightmare, the S&BCC magazine produced in the late 1970s, is actually available online from the 'Club history' page at http://www.streathamchess.org.uk/. I did have a quick scan of some of the pages last night. However, most of the references to people use a fist initial rather than a first name.

Wonderful !!!

If anyone else has games, then please feel free to post. And, I'll also put them up on the congress site.

PS. I've added the dates.

I can put my other games up as well if you want them, or send them to you in a pdf file, whichever you prefer.

Yes, good point. I tried to upload yesterday, and it said disk full. So, deleted some files including the first file. Still says - DISK FULL try later.
Have put in an URGENT email, but no reply in 24hrs. Will wait and see.

P Couper might be Phil? - I played him at Hammersmith in 73 or 74, forget which.

Apologies for the dull play against Richard.

Re Streatham player first names, Robin Haldane says:

Andrew KEENE (Streatham);
Mike DAVIS (Streatham);
Pete F BROWN (Streatham);
Chris P LINES (Streatham).

"I went to school with Pete and Chris."

I'll check 'Andrew KEENE' with Robin given that Al(l)an Keene was indicated above.
