It may surprise you to learn that I have tried this...Barry Sandercock wrote:Even better,if you just Google " Polgar Kasparov-touch move "
It's possible, but that doesn't explain why Kasparov didn't (unless I am mistaken) come out with a fulsome apology when he was shown to have, indeed, released the piece.ben.graff wrote:However, it does show why this is a difficult one in which all parties could well have been acting in good faith.
He was the world champion, he knew how serious this was.

Justin, a thought has occurred to me. Why bring this up now? If you read what Polgar and others have said about this, that should be sufficient. Is there anything you can add to what has been said that would change anything or produce new conclusions?

Because I went looking for the video footage the other day and I was surprised not to find it.Christopher Kreuzer wrote:Justin, a thought has occurred to me. Why bring this up now?

Sure. I should have made clearer that I was referring to the side-topic where people start to speculate about Kasparov's actions and what he should/shouldn't have done. You were responding to what Ben Graff said, but I'm saying we should all maybe avoid speculation about this, seeing as the footage is not currently available. It seems a bit pointless to rehash this right now. All it will result in is a lot of opinion and speculation (though to be fair, that is a large part of what draws people to a forum like this).JustinHorton wrote:Because I went looking for the video footage the other day and I was surprised not to find it.Christopher Kreuzer wrote:Justin, a thought has occurred to me. Mebbe, but my original question wasn't about the rights and wrongs.Christopher Kreuzer wrote: I'm saying we should all maybe avoid speculation about this, seeing as the footage is not currently available. It seems a bit pointless to rehash this right now.
