Thanks for that. I had a quick look at the introduction. The array of covers from the 11 known tournament books is impressive. Some of the questions asked in the introduction might be worth asking here for those who haven't looked at the introduction themselves.

In the photograph Bogoljubow's name is missing.

Excellent spot by Geoff that Bogoljubow's name is missing from the photo caption on page 43. Further down, on page 45, there is possibly another problem with another photo caption. The 1946 British Championship photo appears to show 12 people, but 13 are named in the caption! Am I missing something obvious there?

Ah, thanks! A stray comma needs removing it seems. Hopefully that can be done as it does look like two players are listed there: Andrew Rowland and Benedick Thomas.

I've recently purchased the Nottingham 1936 book, a revised edition from the original Alekhine version. Fantastic photograph.

What geniuses the top players were then!
