Thanks for that. I had a quick look at the introduction. The array of covers from the 11 known tournament books is impressive. Some of the questions asked in the introduction might be worth asking here for those who haven't looked at the introduction themselves.

What I have looked at so far is excellent. One wee quibble.
In the photograph Bogoljubow's name is missing.
http://nottschess.org/book/index.php?section=12
It reads:
Top Row: Reuben Fine, Saviely Tartakower, Milan Vidmar, Theodore Tylor, Conel Hugh O’Donel Alexander, Salo Flohr, Samuel Reshevsky, Mikhail Botvinnik, A J Mackenzie (Controller)
Bogoljubow's name should appear between Vidmar & Tylor.

Nice to see a photograph of Robert Combe, who quickly faded into history.Geoff Chandler wrote:What I have looked at so far is excellent. One wee quibble.

Excellent spot by Geoff that Bogoljubow's name is missing from the photo caption on page 43. Further down, on page 45, there is possibly another problem with another photo caption. The 1946 British Championship photo appears to show 12 people, but 13 are named in the caption! Am I missing something obvious there?

Ah, thanks! A stray comma needs removing it seems. Hopefully that can be done as it does look like two players are listed there: Andrew Rowland and Benedick Thomas.Gordon Cadden wrote:12 players. Re: Nottingham 1936
I've recently purchased the Nottingham 1936 book, a revised edition from the original Alekhine version. Fantastic photograph.John Swain wrote:Robert Richmond has written a book on the Nottingham International Tournament of 1936, one of the strongest events ever, judged by the top players involved. What geniuses the top players were then!
Thanks to Robert Richmond for the content and John Swain for advertising this.
