I'm not entirely persuaded myself but if so I think his middle name is Cornelis not Cornelius.

The JC that I played in 1970 wouldn't have been born in the 1920s, late 1940s I would suggest.

Thanks, Richard. I have amended Cornelius to Cornelis on the Britbase file. I am a man of many parts but singing bass isn't one of them.
