Some interesting feedback received about this event, some in private messages (I hope to be able to add a few more game scores presently), for which many thanks. Incidentally, I've now adjusted the dates in line with Roger's advice upthread.

As regards availability of BUCA bulletins for other years, I'm not sure but I think we'd be lucky to find one as voluminous as the 1970 edition. I too played in 1972 (in London), and also in 1974 (in Birmingham), but I don't recall seeing a bulletin being produced on either occasion. I do recall seeing a few BUCA handbooks from an earlier era but, if I recall rightly, though quite neatly produced, they only had a handful of games in them.
