Iosif Rudakovsky 1914-46 (or 47)

Post by Kevin Thurlow » Wed Mar 02, 2016 4:15 pm

I was looking at Bulletin 2 (January 1946) of the Anglo-Soviet chess circle and it gave a couple of his games from XIVth USSR Championship (1945)(calling him Rudokovski). He looked an interesting player. I was a bit puzzled I never heard of him, but then found he died soon afterwards, very young.

Anybody know anything more?

Can't say I know any more, Kevin, but I did remember his game as Black against Bronstein from the USSR Championship you mention because it was an Alekhine 4 pawns attack and made it into a lot of the old Alekhine theory books.
