Is this position drawn?
4r3/1p2rk1p/p1pR2p1/5b2/1P2pP2/4K3/P1P3BP/3R4 w - - 0 25
I was a pawn up as black and played Kf7 and offered my opponent a draw and he agreed in a league game this week. He was of the opinion that I could have played Kg7-h6 (instead of the move I played above) to play for a win. However I did not quite think that that was forcing. Any one think I could have played for a win?
Taking chess in the Midlands a level up!

You could certainly have played for a win with little risk of losing; whether the position is actually winning is anyone's guess, although I'd expect it to be. Keith Arkell would love to have a position like that.

I'd certainly play on! The move ...a5 could be unpleasant for White, which is probably what I would have played on the last move

I certainly think that I would be playing on as black, assuming lack of time was not a significant factor.

I think Rd4 should hold the fort. The idea of creating a second weakness is key, though, in this kind of position.James Coleman wrote:I'd certainly play on! The move ...a5 could be unpleasant for White, which is probably what I would have played on the last move

It might, it might not....it doesn't really matter, since Black can comfortably play on since White has no real counterplay.

You will probably will be relieved to know Frank, according to my engine (crafty with half an hour on the clock for both sides) with the king on g7 peace was declared after 28 moves, about par for the course really, yer know rook endings an all
But this is with crafty's candidate move a5, with your opponents suggestion Kh6 instead, crafty cranked out a win for you in 30 moves.
